Message Unfortunately the Porsche museum was under going massive renovation when I went through Stuttgart so they only had a small display room up but it was packed full of good stuff.

The 959 concept car. The production version of this and the Ferrari F40 were my childhood dream cars. They were unbelievable pieces of technology when they came out. Sequential turbocharging, active suspension, variable center diff, aluminum/Kevlar construction.

Like I said, brake fetish. The Carrera GT had just come out if I remember correctly.

And you thought the Z's intake pipes were formed to fit.

There are other things to see of course.

But they're not very fast and corner like crap and are therefore not very interesting. Driving down the autobahn 120mph in a twin turbo diesel Audi was pretty entertaining though.

Anyway, Germany and indeed most of Europe is good times if you get a chance to go.
